Wall Mount Preview Page 2

9. We need to duplicate all the ‘PRINTS’ layers and then merge them together. We do this so if we make a mistake when resizing we can just go back and do it again. Follow the images on how to duplicate. We will be using this duplication method a lot in this tutorial so remember how its done!

10. Now that all the PRINTS are merged, we need to duplicate it once more (again, this will make it easier to start again if we mess it up at a later stage!) Follow the image below on how to hide the layers and also duplicate. Once you have made the duplicate layer, hide it and work on the top layer.

11. Click on the layer to select it and then HOLD CTRL and click on the corners. This will set it up for resizing. Then, while still holding CTRL, Click and Drag the corners up and down. (if you hold SHIFT at the same time, it will keep it at a 90 degree angle). If done correctly your image will look similar to the below image.

12. Once you have positioned and shaped it correctly so it looks like it is hangin on the wall, we need to make it 3d! This is where we duplicate the layers a few more times.

13. Select the duplicated layer and drop the opacity. In this example I used 52% but you can use anything. While you still have that layer selected, move it to the right a little bit by pressing the RIGHT ARROW KEY on your keyboard.

14. By now you should start seeing the 3d come to life. You can create a few more duplicate layers and move them to the right a little bit less to give it a ’stacked’ effect.

15. Done. Hmmmm….something is missing…Oh, the lighting! You could leave it like this, but lets go that little bit further to make it photo-realistic. lets create the bottom shadow first. Duplicate a layer of the Prints as you have done before and move it down a little bit with the DOWN ARROW KEY. Then follow the image below from left to right to add the shadow.

16. Now we are going to jump straight into the lighting. Select the top layer of the Prints, and then follow the image from left to right to set up the Dodge Tool.

17. The lighting is really left up to you, just focus on adding higlighting small bits at a time on the image, maybe focusing on the corners.  Once the lighting is finished we need to add all the titles. If you look to the right in your layers palette I have included all the layers for that already - all you need to do is change the words.

That should be about it! All you need to do now is FILE and SAVE the original document. Then, you need to save the image as a JPEG. Again, go to FILE, SAVE FOR WEB AND DEVICES and save it as a JPEG and click OK.

Congratulations, you have now displayed your digital work on a real live wall! Now all you have to do is pop it up on your websites and link it back to your items for purchase. Good luck!

I walked through the Concrete Jungle. It's heavy dullness surrounded me. I heard a faint sound and stopped to investigate. The Concrete Jungle was alive. It whispered softly to me through its grate-shaped mouth. It quivered with The Fear. The unimaginable fear of fading into the background.

I had to stop this fear from spreading. I splashed my magic wand of colour onto it's dreary landscape. Instantly, the Concrete Jungle exploded with the brightest sunshine imaginable. Its fresh designs drew travellers from around the world. It was now a Feature Piece.

Now, settled that I had changed the course of history for the Concrete Jungle, I set out to impact the heart beat inhabitants that walk amongst. The canvas for my new work comes in many shapes and colours and wraps over these creatures. They wear them with pride, passion and to stand out amongst civilisation.

Welcome, to my playground.
